Atkinson, Nebraska, April 19, 2024 – After a year-long fundraiser for childhood brain cancer research, the Team Jack Foundation picked the lucky winner for the 1972 Corvette Stingray Convertible. Kevin & Jenny Cownie from Lincoln, Nebraska were drawn as the lucky new owners. On Wednesday, April 17 at DuTeau Chevrolet in Lincoln, Team Jack was able to hand over the keys to the beautiful classic to the Cownies. Kevin is a longtime Corvette enthusiast and a member of the Nebraska Corvette Association, so driving away in this beautiful black classic was a dream come true for him. Kevin said, “It’s unbelievable. I never win anything, so I wasn’t really expecting to win. It’s a great feeling.”

Sweepstakes participants could enter for free or get additional entries by donating to the Team Jack Foundation. Cownie donated $75 to enter and received 53 ticket entries. In total, there were over 150,000 entries to win the car, and the sweepstakes raised nearly $186,000 for childhood brain cancer research.

Special thanks to the generosity of Mark Burch Motorsports and the Mark and Mari Burch Family for their help with the car. To date, with the Burch’s help, the Team Jack Car Giveaways have raised nearly $450,000 for pediatric brain cancer research.

Team Jack Foundation Executive Director Kylie Dockter said, “We had entries from nearly every state, which was exciting. This giveaway continues to grow each year and is just another opportunity for us to raise significant funds for research. It also serves as a great way for us to raise awareness of the disease to a new audience.”
