About Coach Fred Hoiberg

Fred Hoiberg’s career has revolved around the sport of basketball. The grandson of a professional basketball player and collegiate coach, Hoiberg has followed a similar path, spending more than three decades as a player, coach or executive in Division I basketball and the National Basketball Association. His career came full circle when the Lincoln native was named head coach of the Nebraska basketball program in 2019, a program that his grandfather Jerry Bush coached for nine seasons.
