Longest Drive contest winner, Nate Gerry, and prize winner, Rick Sliva
On Monday, July 10th, nearly 80 golfers and former Husker players came together for the 2nd Annual Team Jack Golf Classic, held at Wilderness Ridge in Lincoln. It was a beautiful day, which began with a Longest Drive competition between the former Husker players. Golfers could buy chances to guess which one of the players would win the competition. Nate Gerry was the winner of the competition, with his drive traveling 296 yards while barefoot! Joe Ganz and Brandon Reilly were close behind. Rick Sliva of Fat Brain Toys won a new putter for guessing the winner correctly!

Then, the golfers hit the links for the shamble format. Congratulations to the team sponsored by Rex Burkhead made up of Ty Kildow, Ross Helleberg, Dylan Vogt, Blake Headley, and former Husker quarterback Cody Green for being the overall tournament winners. Also, special thanks to our event sponsors and Muchahos for providing lunch for the golfers.
The day was a great success, raising over $40,000 to help us fund research with the best and brightest scientists and doctors working hard to improve outcomes for our tumor patients. Hope to see you next year!
