Team Jack works closely with other cancer-fighting organizations to support families as they navigate treatment. Below are a few resources to help your family find the best support and care for your child.

Make-A-Wish Nebraska
For a child battling a critical illness like brain cancer, Make-A-Wish® can be a game changer. Wishes are more than just gifts or exciting events. Wishes bring joy and hope to everyone—wish kids, volunteers, donors, sponsors, medical professionals and communities.

Since its inception, Make-A-Wish® Nebraska has granted over 2,750 children’s wishes. And there are many more children who qualify and need to be referred. You can recruit your family and friends to ensure your child and other eligible children receive the power of a wish at the time they need it most. Click here to learn more and refer a child today.

Heartland Cancer Foundation
The Heartland Cancer Foundation (HCF) is a nonprofit that provides financial assistance to low-income cancer patients in 18 counties in southeast Nebraska.

The financial burdens that often accompany a cancer diagnosis can be overwhelming. HCF believes families facing cancer should be able to focus on healing, without financial stresses. Their programs include assistance for housing, car payments, gas cards and utilities.

Hope Portal
Cancer treatments can be devastating to a family’s finances. The Hope Portal, launched by the Coalition Against Childhood Cancer (CAC2), is a free patient support tool created to allow childhood cancer families to find support fast and easy. This tool is routinely updated and returns customized search results by diagnosis, geographic location and the kind of support you need—from household expenses to cancer camps to medical bills.
